• Pennsylvania real estate licensees must complete 14 hours of Commission-approved real estate continuing education courses to renew or reactivate their license.
• Continuing Education courses must be completed through an Education Provider that is approved by the PA Real Estate Commission.
• Licensed Real Estate Salespersons are required to renew their license every two years.
• Licenses expire for all Pennsylvania licensees on May 31st of every even-numbered year. 

The PA Real Estate Commission e-mails renewal notices approximately 60 days before the license expiration date. Notices are sent to the e-mail address registered on the PALS website. You may update your registered e-mail address by logging into your PALS account through their website. 

Standard salesperson licensees who are renewing for the first time are required to complete a specific set of continuing education modules through an approved education provider.

The continuing education modules required for a salesperson's first renewal cycle are:

1. PA General Module (7 hours)
2. PA Residential Module (7 hours)

They can be purchased as individual post-licensing courses or as a 14-hour PA Post-Licensing Residential Package.
